Tablebases.com offers three different basic shipping methods. Ground, Expedited and Freight (LTL). Below is a brief explanation of the different options and transit times.
Our different product lines ship from different warehouses around the United States. For some products, we have them stocked in multiple warehouses. That way, we can ship from nearest to you for reduced transit times and shipping costs. Most orders are delivered between 4-10 business days after being placed, depending on the item you select, the quantity you purchase, and the distance from our warehouse to your delivery address.
The first thing to do is see how long it will take for your items to leave the warehouse. This info is provided for each item, under "additional information". For example, our B Series ships in 1-3 business days, which means it takes 1-3 days for us to prepare, pack and ship the order. This does not include transit time (please call customer service for an estimated time in transit).
UPS Ground Shipping is the best option for most smaller orders (usually 5 bases or less). UPS Ground transit times vary from as few as 1 business day (if you are close to the shipping warehouse) to as many as 5-6 business days (coast to coast). If you are purchasing a larger quantity, or a larger base that is very heavy, you'll want to select LTL Freight shipping (see below).
UPS Expedited Shipping is available for most smaller orders (5 bases or less). Expedited options include 3 Day Select (three business days in transit), 2nd Day Air (two business days in transit), and Next Day Air (one business day in transit). Please keep in mind that it still can take a few business days for us to pack and prepare your shipment, so please consult with our customer service representatives if you have a hard deadline. In most cases we can ship immediately, but some items (especially counter height, coffee table height, or custom cut bases) can take some time to get out of the warehouse. Depending on how far away you are from the shipping warehouse, expedited shipping may not be necessary. We recommend consulting with our customer service representatives before selecting expedited shipping.
Technically, we can expedite any order. However, for larger orders, becuase our items can be quite heavy, expedited shipping can become very expensive. We always recommend ordering as far ahead of time as possible, so that you can use the more economical, standard shipping options. There are more economical expedited freight options for large orders, but these vary regionally and are not always as fast as UPS expedited options.
LTL Freight Shipping is best for larger orders (5 or more bases) and is required for shipping chairs, barstools and many of our table tops. LTL stands for "less than truckload", and indicates that the items will be strapped to a pallet, and delviered via semi-truck. In most cases, LTL options are just as quick as UPS Ground, and in some cases even faster. All LTL shipments include a lift gate (meaning the driver will pull the pallet off the truck, so you don't need a fork lift), unless you do not require it. You can usually track your LTL shipments at the carrier's website, but you may sometimes need to call LTL carriers for more precise delivery information. Delivery timelines and delivery hours can vary by carrier, but are generally weekdays between 8AM and 7PM. If you would like a delivery appointment (meaning the shipment carrier will call ahead of time to schedule a time to drop off the pallet), please contact customer before placing your order (if you have already placed your order, please contact us before your order ships). Delivery appointments cannot be added after an order has shipped. There may be a fee for delivery appointments or other added services. Please keep a close eye on your tracking information. If the carrier cannot contact you and no on is present for delivery when they arrive, there may be a re-delivery fee (the fee amount is assessed by the carrier and can vary).
